Edward “Ed” Franklin Manuel

April 14, 1942 — January 23, 2026

Funeral services for Edward Franklin “Ed” Manuel, age 83, of Enid, will be 1:00 pm, Monday, February 2, 2026, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Justin Woodward officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.Dr. Edward Franklin Manuel was born in Richland, MO on April 14th, 1942, to Oliver A Franklin Manuel and Helen Manuel (Knull). Ed served 4 years in the Air Force at Vance Air Force base in Enid, OK as a medic, eventually marrying Sharon Moore on June 26th, 1974, and then graduated from OSU with a doctorate in business and education. Ed went on from there to start and teach in the auto body program at Autry Technology Center, going on to further his career as business administrator there and finally assistant superintendent until he retired. Ed deeply loved the Lord. He was a proud member of the Gideons and was a part of multiple mission trips throughout his life, helping people both domestically and abroad in multiple countries. A very personable man, he never knew a stranger.

Ed went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2026. He is survived by his loving wife of54 years, Sharon Manuel, sisters, Elaine and Debbie, brothers, Orville, Duane and Greg, daughter Samantha, grandchildren Tyler, Sydnie, McKenzie and David (deceased), six great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews, all whom he loved very much.

Barnard, Lois E.

Lois Evan Barnard, age 83, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Kings Garden Campus of Perry Lutheran Homes in Perry, Iowa.  She was born on February 26, 1942, in Enid, Oklahoma. Lois spent much of her professional career as a financial advisor with New York Life. Lois had a deep love for music and faith, often playing the piano at church and singing in church choirs. She also enjoyed reading and, most of all, sewing. A natural creator, Lois was always making something new – often building shelves to neatly store her extensive and beloved collections. She is survived by her brother, Jim “Coach” Barnard; her daughters, Bonnie Chambers (Kevin Hedin) and Cheri Wismont (Kenny); her grandchildren, Jason Chambers (Erin), Derek Urkoski, Jordyn Chambers (Paul), and Shelby Guenette (Jarrett); and five great-grandchildren.
