James Robert Munger, 82, of Ponca City, OK, left this life on Saturday, January 18, 2025. Viewing will be from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 23, 2025 and 9:00 AM until service time on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Trout Funeral Home. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 24, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Stanton officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Longwood Cemetery. Jim was born on Friday, August 7, 1942, in Great Bend, KS, to Thomas Orrin Munger, Jr. and Eleanor (Rosa) Munger. He attended schools in Kansas and Oklahoma, graduating from Enid High School. He later attended Oklahoma State University and graduated from Phillips University, where he also eared a Master’s of Business Administration. On July 30, 1966, he married Carolyn Gritz. He was also a veteran of the Oklahoma Army National Guard. He also owned and operated Munger Accounting Service, and retired from the Conoco Accounting Department after 33 years . Jim is survived by: his wife, Carolyn of the home; sons, John Robert Munger and his wife, Malena, of Ponca City, OK, James Thomas Munger and his wife, Melinda, of Katy, TX; grandchildren, Taylor Straight and her husband, Holden, of Wichita, KS, Sydney Munger of Jenks, OK, Noah Woodward of Stillwater, OK, Makenna Weithman and her husband, Jack, of Houston, TX, Gage Munger of Golden , CO, Cole Munger of Katy, TX; great-grandchildren, Decker and Carter Straight; brother, Orrin Munger of Enid, OK; and several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. He is preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Lain

Schultz, Vanoy K.

November 9, 1942 – April 7 2026

The graveside service for Vanoy Kenneth Schultz, 83 year-old former Enid resident is 11:00AM Monday, April 13, 2026 in the Mausoleum of Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Gail Edmison will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Vanoy was born November 9 ,1942 in Breckenridge, Oklahoma to Paul and Alma ( Mohlebrink ) Schultz and died Tuesday, April 7, 2026 in Bartlesville, OK. He attended local schools graduating from Enid High School with the class of 1960. He then enlisted into the United States Air Force. After his service he returned to Enid where he worked with Gold Spot Dairy for a time. In 1967, he married Melba Sharp and the couple made their home in Enid. Vanoy worked on the flight-line at Vance Air Force Base for close to 25 years before his retirement. He and Melba celebrated 50 years of marriage before her death in 2017. He was an avid fisherman and bird-hunter and loved to tend his garden. He is survived by his three children, Christine Sinclare and companion Tony Highland of Des Moines, Iowa, Jeffery Schultz and wife Dara of Anadarko, OK. and Julie Shull and husband Lewis of Bartlesville, OK. Five grandchildren and one brother Eldon Schultz of Breckenridge, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Melba and 10 brothers and sister.
