William “Bill” Howard –January 2, 1942 – March 10, 2023

William “Bill” Howard, loving husband and father of two, passed away
in his home on Friday, March 10, 2023, at age 81. Bill was born on
January 2, 1942, in Lawton, OK to James “Jim” Sr. and Doris (Howland) Howard.
He enlisted in the United States Navy as a “Builder” with the SeaBees in
1961 and proudly served until 1965. He attained the rank of E-4
(Petty Officer Third Class) receiving the Good Conduct Award. He served
during the Vietnam War, at Naval Base Guam and at Port Hueneme, California.
On October 6, 1967, he married Phyllis Irene Schenck. They moved to Oklahoma City where they raised two sons, Michael and Jason. Bill had a passion for any type of vehicle. He started out building sports cars, then moved on to dirt bikes and motocross. He found his true passion when he bought his first Bronco. Bill loved to take off-road trails and enjoyed rebuilding and repairing them. He shared his knowledge of automobiles with his sons, teaching them to do repairs as well as how to safely traverse rough terrain off road. He also enjoyed talking on his CB radio and was an
amateur HAMM radio operator. He was also the resource person for the
family because he just knew SO much about SO much. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, James (“Bud”) and his sister
Arleta Jones. He is survived by his wife Phyllis, his son Michael
and wife Danielle; grandson Preston and wife Lora and great-grandson
Everett; grandson Joshua and wife Bailey and great-grandson Luke;
son Jason and grandsons Malichai and Clayton; sisters Meredith Gunn
and Debbie Schofield as well as many nieces and nephews.

Darlene Gayle (Jenkins) Jeter –November 19, 1942 ~ March 28, 2023 (age 80)

Our beloved mother Darlene Gayle Jeter went home to be with the Lord on March 28, 2023 after battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Darlene was
born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on
November 29, 1942. She grew up in Oklahoma with her sister Marie Posey. After high school, Darlene married Fred Bliek who was currently serving in the US Air Force. They lived in Enid, Oklahoma and later settled in Channelview, Texas to raise their three children, Scott, Gena, and Shawn. Darlene later married Gene McWhorter and he brought two sons
Charles and Jeff. Darlene and Gene loved to go water skiing, scuba diving. camping, fishing, the beach, traveling, dancing, and short road trips in their convertible MG. They were always up for an adventure. They loved spending time with their kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Unfortunately, we lost Gene to congestive heart failure in 1997. In 2006 Darlene returned to Oklahoma for a 50th high school reunion and was reunited with Gary Jeter a childhood friend from kindergarten. They later
married in 2011 and settled in Brenham, Texas. Gary was a pastor at a local church and Darlene quickly settled in as a pastor’s wife helping with the church. Darlene organized fellowship dinners, activities, and organized a group of women to create and sew banners for the church. Once Gary retired, they started traveling and their biggest trip was to Jerusalem where they stayed for 2 weeks. Gary passed in 2015 after losing his battled to pancreatic cancer. Darlene moved back to Channelview to live out her remaining life by her two younger children. Darlene was beyond blessed to have all her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids live so close and it was the role as Nana she cherished the most. Darlene’s deep faith and devotion for Jesus came at an early age from her loving and devoted parents. Although Darlene lost several loved ones before her passing, her faith never wavered. It was her strong faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that was her comfort and peace before her passing. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Jeter, her son Scott Bliek and stepson Charles McWhorter. She leaves behind her adoring sister Marie Posey and husband Jack, Jeff McWhorter and his wife Marilyn, Gena Langley and her husband Donnie, and Shawn Bliek and his wife Tammy; grandsons Cody McWhorter and his wife Nicole, Justin McWhorter and his wife Elaine, Cori Fieramusca and his wife Raven, Jeffery Bliek, Timothy Langley, Jonathan Bliek, Jacob Bliek, and Benjamin Bliek; granddaughters Kristyn Vest and her husband Keith, Allison Parker and her husband Justin, Samantha Bliek, and Jenna Bliek; great grandchildren Emilyn, Kate, June, Harper, Kenzie, Kylie, Karter, and Rylen.Howard Bilyk Howard Janice Elaine 1125 S Main St. Return 4/23 Wichita KS 67213- 757-303-1702?

Jean Schwab, 80 year old Woodward resident, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2022 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Thelma Jean (Linderer) Schwab was born on February 15, 1942 in Enid, Oklahoma to Ado Peter and Dortha May (Robinson) Linderer. She was the youngest of 16 children. By the age of 16, Jean had lost both of her parents. Within the next year, Jean was United in marriage to Larry Hort on April 17, 1959 in Pond Creek, Oklahoma. They made their home in Enid were they were blessed with three children: Mitchell, Rusty, and Casey.

In 1977, Jean met the love of her life John Schwab. They were United in marriage on February 10, 1979 in Woodward, Oklahoma where they made their home. Throughout the years, Jean held many jobs that included working for Trego’s Western Wear and Fruit of the Loom Factory, until she found her calling and started Schwab Tax Service and joined Caldwell Banker as a realtor. More than anything, Jean loved her family. She enjoyed having a house full for meals that always ended with everyone in her bed snuggling to watch OU football. Jean also loved going to the casino with her buddy Gayle Beauchamp and always looked forward to Sunday night dinners with Rob and Woody.

She is survived by her children: Mitchell Hort and wife Scarlett, Russell (Rusty) Hort, Cassandra (Casey) Forrest and husband Lonnie; special bonus daughter, Ana Carolina Castro de Medeiros and wife Trini Logan; six grandchildren: Ashley Hort, Michelle Hort, Melissa Clark and husband Matt, Alyson Carey and husband Kyle, Kole Forrest and wife Bekie, Baylee Forrest; six great-grandchildren: Rileigh, Braylon, Madison, Aubrey, Weston, and Paisley; very special sister-in-law and friend Mary Lou Mulberry and husband Kenneth; sisters-in-law, Joyce Linderer, Bernita Schwab, Louise Schwab, and her constant companion Boo. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John , in-laws, and her fifteen brothers and sisters.

Judy Marie Butler, 77, of Skiatook, OK passed away on May 29, 2020 at St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa, OK. 

Judy was born in Enid, OK on August 22nd, 1942 to Ray and Marie (Glaser) Swiggart.  She married Chet Butler on May 12th, 1972.  She enjoyed a long career of 28 years as a teachers assistant at Skiatook Public Schools. Judy was a devoted mother, spouse, teacher and traveler.  She and her husband traveled the United States with their camper and motorcycle.  She spent most of her teaching career helping mentally and physically impaired children at Skiatook Public Schools.  She was a spiritual woman and was involved in many church activities. 

Judy is preceded in death by parents Ray and Marie Swiggart and sister Sherry Swiggart. Judy is survived by husband of 48 years, Chet Butler, children and spouses; Denny and Erin Butler, Julie Butler, Dion Dout, Darin and Dawn Dout; her brother Doug Swiggart, grandchildren;  Raphe Johns, Devin Dout, Dylan Dout, Olivia Butler, Madison Dout, Morgan Dout, Reiss Dout; great grandchild Dawsyn Johns.

Elton K (Mac) McDonald Jr., 77 year old Woodward resident, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020 in Oklahoma City. A family get together will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home. Elton K McDonald was born on October 18, 1942 in Enid, Oklahoma to Elton K Sr. and Ruby Mae (Wall) McDonald. Mack grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School in 1960.
He was united in marriage to Judy Thomas on May 19, 1961 in Yukon, Oklahoma. They made their first home in Lompoc, California before moving to Enid and eventually Woodward. He worked as a Electrician for many years until his retirement.

Mac enjoyed his kids in their sports and he loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed fishing, OU football, and working in the yard with the love of his life, Judy. He was a member of the Kids Inc. Board for quite a few years. He is survived by his wife Judy McDonald of the home; four sons: Tom McDonald and wife Sonya, Tim McDonald and wife Yvonne, Brian McDonald and wife Micky, and Jeff McDonald; two daughters: Betty McDonald, Carrie Reynolds and husband Scott; 14 grandchildren: Lacey, Lindsey, Zach, Jordan, Jason, Jeremy, Jessica, Morgan, Alena, Logan, Emme, Parker, Lauren, and Olivia; 12 great-grandchildren; family friend, Kerry Riley; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandmother Ruby McDonald.

I’m remembered as “Joe Bruce”, but when I went to college, I went only by “Bruce” which is how I’ve been referred to ever since.  Some people call me “J. B.” but “Bruce” is more commonly used.

   I was born June 3, 1942, in Wewoka, Oklahoma.  My dad worked for the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and was transferred from Wewoka to Clinton and eventually to Enid where I attended school from kindergarten through high school.  After graduation, I attended Oklahoma City University where I majored in music.  I transferred from there to Central State University in Edmond where I majored in English.  I graduated from there in 1965. In July 1965 I married Mary Elizabeth Gray of Fort Smith, Arkansas. 

We moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where we both taught in the public schools.  Our daughter Shannon was born there in January of 1969. The following summer, we moved to Ft. Smith where I taught English in the high school and Mary worked as a medical transcriptionist in a local hospital.  Our son Christopher was born in Ft. Smith in April of 1970. Our children have given us four grandchildren.  Mary passed away last year. In addition to teaching, I worked as choir master at an Episcopal church. Later, I accepted a position as organist at a Catholic church where I served eleven years.  After that position, I took a post as organist at a Presbyterian church where I worked for five years.  I later took a job as Music Director at a Catholic church which I held for twenty-one years.  I retired from that position in 2018 and currently serve as organist at a small Episcopal church. Some years ago, I became interested in writing, especially poetry.  I have had some success in that venture with a few awards and publications, the first of which was in a newspaper circulated in Wewoka, Oklahoma, where I was born.

Evangeline Lucy (Parker) Howe Obituary
STEWARTSTOWN Evangeline Edna Lucy Howe, 80, of Stewartstown, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022.
She was born in W. Stewartstown on Aug. 17, 1942, a daughter to Earl W. and Annie Mae (Ricker) Parker.
For many years, Evangeline worked in Dixville for the Tillotson Rubber Co. She was a beloved wife and a dedicated mother and grandmother. She loved to cook and tend to her garden and flowers, and also loved feeding and watching her hummingbirds.
Evangeline will be remembered as a lady to go to for guidance and wise advice when needed. Her family and friends will miss her dearly.
She leaves behind her husband of almost 60 years, Lloyd Howe, Sr., of Stewartstown; her four children, Lloyd Buster Howe, Jr., and Talena Richards of Colebrook, Sherry Covell of Goffstown, N.H., and Allen Howe of Pulaski, Virginia; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Trudy Gaudette and Edwina Adair of Columbia; and a brother, Leonard Parker of New York.
She is preceded in death by her father, Earl Parker, her mother, Annie Mae Bumford, and 15 siblings.

Paula J. Deming Rader Obituary
Paula Joyce Rader (nee Deming), 80, passed away on December 24, 2022, in Carmichael, California. She was born on January 24, 1942, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Paul S Deming and Joyce C Spiller Deming. Paula was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Forrest Leon Pelletier, married at Central Christian Church, Enid. Her second husband Paul Landon Rader, married at Arden Christian Church, Sacramento California. Paula is survived by her brother James S (Sharon) Deming of Johnson City, TN, and her three sons: Mark A. (Toni) Pelletier of Nipomo, CA, Paul J. (Donna) Pelletier of Sacramento, CA, and Brian C. (Wendy) Pelletier of Weiser, ID. Her step children and their families. Paula graduated Enid High School before attending Phillips University, and graduated at UC Davis. Paula was a staff member at the Pacific Crest Trail Association in Sacramento, CA. Paula was a Blood Donor giving 150 pints

Charles Larry Ehardt
August 8, 1941 – May 10, 2022

Charles Larry Ehardt, 80, of Paige, Texas passed away on May 10th 2022 in Austin, Texas. Charles was born in Enid Oklahoma to Harvey and Evelyn Ehardt on August 04, 1941. He went to school in Enid Oklahoma and later married Martha Lee Ehardt on August 04 1977 in Las Vegas Nevada.

Charles worked as a Crew Chief for Lockheed Martin in Phoenix, Arizona where he worked on the F104 Starfighter, then as an inspector in Austin. He also served in the Airforce Reserves. After he retired from Lockheed, Charles spent many years driving over the road. Charles enjoyed carpentry, wood working and had a true passion for rebuilding old cars.

Charles is survived by his wife Martha Lee Ehardt of Paige, his daughters Tria Napier of Prairie Grove, AR, Sabrina Jaurigue, Tracy Neely, Jessica Luttrell, Kimberly Luttrell, and son, Harold Neely, all of Paige, brothers Rex and Janie Ehardt of Norman, OK, Jim and Pamela Ehardt of Enid, OK, Orville and Debbie Ehardt of Enid, OK, Paul and Rene Ehardt of Dallas, TX, sister Darlene Shreeves of Enid, OK, grandchildren Charles
